Neet Centers Unsuccessful in Admission Attempts - Eklavya Overseas
Eklavya Overseas. December 15, 2019
In the year 2016 and 2017, there has been a drastic drop of around 80% in the number of students who opt for admission in medical college. The number is expected to drop further in coming years as the government has failed to fulfill the promise of improving the structure required for the training centers and managing the schedule so that the students can study the syllabus. All these changes are very important for the preparation of the entrance exam.
As there are no notable improvements in the government schools, the students of these schools already have a disadvantage in comparison to the students who pass 12th from private schools that have a better structural system and more facilities for the students especially for those who want to pursue their education in the field of medicine. The government officials have said in a statement that they have identified some schools in each cluster where improvements in the structure is a necessity. The tenders have also been finalized which will be announced soon by the central government. The date for the release of the question banks for the children is still awaited.
The teachers have also pointed out that the interest in the field of medicine is decreasing every year. The students who have 490 or above marks in class 10th, prefer to choose commerce over medicine these days. The number of students in every school is coming close to a single digit. Some private centers offer free coaching to deserving students who provide some relief. It is important for the colleges as well to provide such services to train the students from government colleges. If the government fail to do something in this field quickly, the situation in the field of medicine will get worse for the country.
