  1. In Malaysia, the cost of an MBBS is extremely low when you compare it to countries like the UK, USA, France, Korea, and other top nations. That's why it is a preferred destination for students coming from India, Africa, Pakistan, and other developing countries.
  2. The medium of instruction at all universities is English. That's why there is an increasing influx of Indian students coming to Malaysia to complete their MBBS degrees.
  3. The quality of education offered by medical universities is supreme and stands tall against other premium countries.
  4. The colleges and universities have accomplished and exceptionally experienced staff and teachers.

Disadvantages of MBBS in Malaysia

While there are innumerable advantages of studying MBBS in Malaysia, unfortunately, it is not devoid of disadvantages. Here are the most prominent downsides of studying MBBS in Malaysia:

  1. There are extremely few career opportunities in Malaysia. If you are a foreigner planning to stay and work in Malaysia, you may encounter certain difficulties due to the limited number of job opportunities available to foreigners. Furthermore, it is difficult to find work that will allow you to obtain a VISA. Your qualities and talents, on the other hand, will play a significant influence in landing a job.
  2. If you want to become a Malaysian citizen, you can't do it the traditional way.
  3. The weather is both a blessing and a burden in this town. Humidity, heat, and rain are all part of daily life in Malaysia. The lack of seasonal change and the persistent heat and humidity can be exhausting at times. Yes, year-round sunshine is wonderful, but it does make you miss the changing of seasons. If you are sensitive to extreme heat and humidity, Malaysia may not be the best place to study.
  4. Pickpocketing and robbery are prevalent in Malaysia. Goons might occasionally take unnecessary risks, especially when they see a foreigner walking alone on a quiet street.

Accommodation Facilities

Most Malaysian Universities provide on-campus accommodation to students. But it differs from living in the residence halls in the UK and USA. Here, on-campus housing refers to hostels with different rental rates. All universities welcome international students, and you will need to contact the admissions office to settle at a University. Average student hostels come with shared accommodation, furnished with WiFi, bathroom, and communal dining. Each hostel block also has a 24-hours security service. There are different hostel facilities for boys and girls. You can also stay at off-campus student housing, typically located within a few meters from the campus. You will have to pay the rent monthly and include dinner and breakfast.
