NEET-UG is an eligibility as well as placement test in India. It stands for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test. It is a national level examination which is taken by students of the Physics, chemistry and biology background to test their ability and get placed in a government or private medical universities. The degree pursued after having cracked NEET is MBBS or BDS. This examination is generally conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). To get authentication in UG therapeutic/dental courses offered by different government and private schools, undergraduates need to qualify the NEET 2018 examination. Here we are giving insights about NEET Application Form 2018 including application dates, qualification criteria, FAQs and how to apply process.
The NEET application form for the annual year 2018-19 will release in January 2018. The students willing to give this exam should fill in the form and submit it with an application fee of Rs. 1400 by the end of January. This application process is only available in online. No offline application is entertained. The website which will furnish them with the official form IS http://cbseneet.nic.in. Students can fill the necessary details online and upload a scanned photograph of them and a signature in JPG format. Though the process is online, one can make the payment online as well as offline. For any future use, it is important that you take a print out of the confirmation page that appears after the payment of application fees. The offline mode of payment I through an electronically generated challan which is to be submitted to either of these banks- HDFC, SBI, ICICI or Syndicate bank.
All the students who have applied for the exam will get their admit cards online by the 1st week of April. This is one of the most important documents in the entrance examination. The students need to take a print out of the invoice generated and make sure to carry it on the day of examination. The exact exam date is yet to be announced but it will somewhere be in the first week of May. There are certain rules which are followed by the CBSE in order to maintain some healthy competition. They make sure that no one attempts this exam for more than three times. The lower and upper age limit is 17years as well as 25 years respectively. This is applicable for the students belonging to the general category only. The students of the reserved category have their upper age limit at 30 years. The student must have passed their 10+2 in any recognized boards with physics chemistry and biology as their main subjects. They should also have any other elective including English. Or, the student must have passed bachelors in science in any of the fields. The general category students must have a minimum of 50% aggregate in their 10+2 examination and the limitation for the reserved category is 40%. The exam will have 180 objective type questions which are based on the knowledge of Physics, Chemistry as well as biology. The students will have to complete this exam within 3 hours. And the exam will be easily understandable as it is printed on almost most of the major languages on India. They are printed in Hindi, English, assamese, kannada, Tamil, telegu, Bengali, oriya, Marathi and Guajarati. The marking scheme is +4 for every correct answer and _1 for every incorrect answer. So the students need to be carefull while picking up their answers as they will be negatively marked for incorrect answers.
