NEET Admission 2017: MCI Bewares MBBS Aspirants

The Medical Council of India (MCI) has issued a notification to beware the MBBS students of some colleges who are misleading the MBBS applicants to get MBBS admission in such colleges. The National Entrance-cum-Eligibility Test (NEET) results was declared on 23^rd June 2017 which underway the process of all India counselling and state counselling for medical admission. In fact, there are some fake advisors who are confusing the medical applicants by alluring them that they would help them in their MBBS admission in the top medical colleges. The MCI has recently published an advisory and asked the MBBS aspirants to follow the common educational counselling done by the Directorate General of Health Services and Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India to take MBBS admission in Government Medical Colleges or by the Designated Authority of the State/Union Territory Government in respect of MBBS seats in Government Medical Colleges and Non-Governmental  Medical Colleges. It also signified in the advisory that the MBBS admissions made without common counseling are illegal.

The advisory said "By way of this advisory all Candidates interested in taking admission in Medical  Colleges  should  check  the  status  regarding  grant  of  permission  by  the  Central  Government  to  the  colleges  from  the  website  of  Medical  Council  of  India  i.e. www.mciindia.org and  only  after  verifying  the  status  of  the  permission  should proceed to take admission". As per the advisory issued by the MCI, the medical colleges which are listed in this document, do not possess the permission of the Medical Council of India/Central Government for admitting MBBS students for the academic year 2017-18 and 2018 -19. Actually, the MCI has issued an advisory and a list of 69 colleges that are not entitled to give MBBS admissions to students.
