Age

The criterion of age that determines an aspirant’s eligibility for MBBS in China is pretty simple. He or she needs to be of 17 years of age, as on 31^st December 2018. In addition, there is no upper age limit for candidates to apply for admission in MBBS in China.

NEET Score

A candidate from India wishing to pursue MBBS from China needs to have qualified the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET), an entrance examination in India that is mandatory for students aspiring to study graduate medical courses and dental courses in either government or private medical colleges and dental colleges respectively. He or she must have a valid NEET scorecard.

Entrance examination

For international students, it is a matter of respite that they need not take any separate entrance examination of the university concerned, in order to secure a seat in MBBS in that university.

Subjects and marks in Higher Secondary Examination

As far as Higher Secondary is concerned, a candidate must have Physics, Chemistry and Biology as the subjects in 10+2 or equivalent. Besides, if the candidate belongs to General category, he or she must have secured a minimum of 70 percent marks in these three subjects from a recognized institution and if the candidate happens to be from a reserved category, securing 40 percent marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics is sufficient for securing a seat in MBBS in China.

IELTS and TOEFL are two examinations that are designed to test a candidate’s skills in English language. These exams are considered to be benchmarks and students need to qualify either of these in order to be eligible for pursuing any course in a foreign country. However, in this department, things are easy and smooth for international medical aspirants since no medical university or institution in China requires an aspirant to clear either of these exams. ‘Easy going’ might be the correct phrase to be used here, wouldn’t it be?
