The Zaporozhye State Medical University is one of the oldest institutions teaching medicine in Ukraine.

It is a self-governing (autonomous) institute and provides training in the following:

One of the oldest and most prominent medical universities in Ukraine, Ternopil National Medical University was established in 1957. The university was recently awarded the highest (IV) accreditation level by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. Ukrainian Medical Dental University, a government medical university in Ukraine, is officially known as Poltava Ukrainian Medical and Stomatological Academy founded in 1921. At present, the university has an academic staff of more than 1000 members and is home to over 4000 students.
