Admission Process
There are a few steps that should specify the nuances of admission here at Russian Universities:
1. Applying : The students can apply for the universities online once they have completed reading the relevant information on the website of the colleges they are applying for. The relevant information includes fee structure, courses offered, facilities offered et al. Once you have chosen the field, here for instance MBBS, the following documents must be sent
- The application form (Filled)
- A copy of your international passport or ID card (validation for at least 2 years)
- A copy of Higher Secondary School Documents that would specify your subject details.
Once the review is done, the students will be notified accordingly. If accepted, the students will likely receive an invite.
2. Getting The Invite : In order to get the invite from the Russian University (for MBBS), the following
- The form that is filled
- A copy of your international passport with a validity of at least a year
- A copy your invitation letter (once received) 400USD and 100USD (delivery charges)
This documentation must be sent over once the invitation letter is received. The following can be sent over through e-mail or by FAX. The documents must be scanned in a proper manner without failure.
3. VISA : The documents required:
- The form that you've filled.
- Original passport with two years of minimum validity.
- School certificates that need to be attested by the ministry of foreign affairs.
- HIV/AIDS status which needs to be attested by the ministry of foreign affairs.
- The official invitation letter (once received and is issued by the Russian Federation of migration services).
- Two passport sized photographs (3.5 X 4.5)
- Some countries need to show certain attested legal documents as per Russian Federation requirement.
- In some specific cases, Russian Embassy might ask for additional documents

4. On Arrival : Once the VISA is processed and received, inform your arrival with your flight details as you'll be assigned with the respective executive who on your arrival will be receiving you. Failure to inform on your behalf will result in deportation back to your homeland. All the payments for the first year must be made before entering the country.
5. As the classes commence : The students should carry the original documents as well as the payment receipt. Once the students arrive, they need to get themselves registered in the University within three days and it's compulsory for them to do so. After the students arrive, the documents, as well as the payment receipts, need to be shown to the international relations officer where they will process the following within a span of one to three working days. Once it's done, you'll be allowed to attend the classes accordingly.
Eligibility
The Russian Universities have a free merit system for admission which means that anyone with a high school degree can apply for their state universities. Specific marks aren't necessary for anyone to apply. So, that should be encouraging enough for students to pursue their dreams without being obligated towards their marks schemes.
To be able to avail the eligibility in medical courses, one has to have the following stream in their high school.
- Biology
- Physics
- Chemistry
No specific marks are required in any of the subjects for the students to apply. Students with passing grades will be accepted for the Russian Universities.

Accommodation
There are tons of accommodation facilities for the students. They can either choose to have on-campus accommodation or rent out places outside. On-campus accommodation has its own perks as you can enjoy the college life to your fullest while sharing insights with your correspondences and other international students. The dorms can accommodate two to three students per room. But if you are someone who values privacy, then go for accommodations that are out of campus.
There are incentives to having your own accommodation since you won't have to adhere to the rules of the campus. You won't have to have any sort of obligation that on-campus accommodation has. To live outside, you'd have to provide address information and landlord information to the college as well as the police authorities. Once you have enrolled and produced a permit, you'll be allowed to live outside. The accommodations offered here can be quite comfortable but is hard to find. But if you can get in touch with a relevant broker, then finding accommodation won't be a trouble. But for that, you'd need to be aware of the Russian language for your own conveniences. The brokers will obviously charge you for the service but you can find accommodations to your liking.

The cafes here can provide a three course meal at 20-30USD. So, the dining experience is inexpensive too. A movie ticket, in general, will cost 10$. Ballet, opera and theatre tickets are a bit on the higher side since they will cost you 30-40$ depending on the production. Clubs have free entries but one visit would cost you 20-30$. If students feel like exploring then travel expenses should come around 15-20$ depending on the location. Accommodation is also cheap where a student can find dorms and hostels to stay in which will cost 30-40$ a month. For international calls, it's advisable that the students use International calling cards at 20$. Local calls are free of any cost. For students to procure a sim card, they'd need to show passport and other documents necessary (at the time). A sim card should cost at around 5$ which will be credited back into the sim once the service starts. The metro rides are inexpensive too where getting a metro travel card is cheaper than respective travel tickets. Buses and other transports will also cost around 0.5$ to 0.9$ at most.
Living and studying at Russia Universities is a unique experience where dreams meet reality. The Russian system is civilized and rigid but has the space that allows insightful discussions. Disadvantages
The experience is something that people look out for and Russian universities will be providing all of that to their international student. The Arab speaking students would find it a bit difficult at first but despite the disadvantages, they'll be enthralled to be a part of this experience. Food will be a problem for most but it can again be accommodated accordingly. Language is a barrier unless you can speak in English. But rest assured the experience will be worth living for.
