National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is due to conducted in 2020 for admission to the undergraduate and postgraduate mbbs courses throughout the country. NEET is conducted by NTA or National Testing Agency which has been set up by the Ministry of Human Resources, Government of India. It is an autonomous body for transparently conducting MBBS admission tests.

How to register for the Exams?

Eligibility Criteria for NEET

There are some eligibility criteria you should know before applying for these all-important mbbs exam.The candidates need to be:

1. An Indian national, foreign national or a member of the SAARC country holding a valid passport
2. Must have attained the age of 17 years and there is no upper age limit
3. Should have passed class XII from a recognized board
4. All candidates must have physics, chemistry, and biology as their mandatory subjects
5. All general candidates need to secure 50% marks for passing the exam. The passing criteria for SC/ST are 42% and PWD is 45%.

What are the documents required for applying for NEET Exam?

Like all competitive exams, you would require some relevant documents which would need to keep in hand before applying for the examinations. These documents are:

1. Self-attested mark sheets for Class X in 100 kb to 300 kb size
2. Class XII mark sheets if received or else provisional copies attested in size 100 kb to 300 kb size
3. A mobile number which would be required at all subsequent stages
4.  Voter Card/Aadhar Card for Indian nationals and passport must for foreign nationals
5. A debit/credit card for processing fees
6. Left-hand thumb impression on a white paper of 10 kb to 50 kb size
7. Scanned photograph and signature between 10kb-100kb and 3kb-20kb respectively

How to Fill out the Application

Now, let’s go through the steps for filling out the application.

1. Registration – You need to go the official website of NEET and click on the new registration tab
2. Enter your details like name, DOB, Father's name, nationality, etc
3. Enter the security captcha and then click preview and then next
4. You need to enter your password and fill out basic security questions
5. Receive OTP on your mobile number for the MBBS exam.
6. Then you will re-login and proceed to fill up the detail applications
7. Make your payment and you are done!
