1. Age

As far as the age criterion for determining a candidate’s eligibility for MBBS in Ukraine is concerned, an aspirant need to be above the age of 17 years and below the age of 25 years on 31^st December of the year in which he or she wishes to seek admission in MBBS course.

2. NEET Score

For Indian students, the eligibility for MBBS in Ukraine includes qualifying the NEET exam and possessing a valid NEET scorecard. Although that might sound like an uphill task to some potential aspirants, however, the rest of the eligibility criteria are quite lenient and relaxed and that is a matter of respite for many candidates.

As far as qualifying an entrance exam is concerned, international students can heave a sigh of relief because none of the medical universities in Ukraine requires an international student to appear in a separate entrance exam of the university and qualify it.

4. Subjects and marks in Higher Secondary Examination

An aspirant must have had Physics, Chemistry and Biology as the subjects in 10+2 or equivalent and he or she must have secured a minimum of 50 percent marks in these three subjects from a recognized institution. Now that is what can clearly be termed as ‘bare minimum’ because securing just 50 percent marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in 10+2 is not at all a big deal for any student.

5. Eligibility Certificate

In order to join an undergraduate medical course in a foreign medical institution, a candidate must possess an Eligibility Certificate issued by the Medical Council Of India (MCI), New Delhi, India. For obtaining the said Eligibility Certificate, the candidate must fulfil the criterion mentioned in the previous point i.e. the candidate must have secured a minimum of 50 percent marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in the Intermediate examination or equivalent. Again, this implies that getting the Eligibility Certificate is never too big an issue.

6. IELTS and/or TOEFL

As far as the test of the skills of an aspirant in English language is concerned, IELTS and TOEFL are the benchmark examinations that students need to qualify in order to be eligible for pursuing any course in a foreign country. However, things are easy for international medical aspirants in Ukraine because no medical university or institution in Ukraine requires an aspirant to clear either of these exams.
