The college is affiliated to Chhatrapati Shivaji Subharti Hospital, both located in a sprawling campus, in Meerut. Admission Procedure of the Medical College

The students are screened on the basis of entrance examinations conducted by the Subharti University Entrance Test or SUET. UPCAT-BDS, UPCAT-MDS, UPCMET-MBBS, UPPGMET-MD are the entrance examinations the potential medical students have to clear, based on their future selective verticals in medicine. The courses are accredited to the National Medical Commission or NMC. A student can also be selected on the basis of past academic records followed by a spot test by the college and an interview. Attainment of age 17 by 31 December of the admission year is a pre-requisite.

Academic and Practical Training Methods

Subharti Medical College imparts rigorous training in academics and practice for undergraduates, postgraduates, OT technicians, Paramedical staff, B.Sc. Nursing and others. Intensive practice, under the guidelines of NMC, is conducted through didactic lectures, CPR training, introduction to intensive care medicine and pain, Anaesthesia clinics, performance procedural training in Operation Theatres and Intensive Care Units. Interactive tutorials, case study presentations, brain-storming sessions, problem solving skills training, are all part of the curriculum. Integrated and inter-departmental conferences and seminars are conducted regularly. Frequently conducted Objective structured Clinical Examination, OSCE or OSPE, is the main tool for assessing the performance of post graduate students.

Infrastructural Facilities Offered

The medical department supervises and controls 20 operation theatres and 3 emergency operation theatres. Modern Anaesthesia Work Stations with BIS and Invasive Hemodynamic Monitoring systems, laryngoscopes and other technologically advanced monitors in MRI suites, crucial airway situation handling mechanisms, Ozone generator machine and other super-specialized infrastructures are readily available. The college also runs regular CPR courses and BLS or ACLS workshops regularly. Academic training is imparted with the help of various ultra-modern audio-visual teaching aids like LCD, OHP, electronic teaching board etc. Each department of medicine has its own specialized laboratory facility, computer lab with CDs and Internet, and library with latest journals and publications.

Faculty and Fees Structure

The faculty of Subharti Medical College consists of distinguished medical practitioners who are regularly involved with various intensive research projects in contemporary medicine in the college laboratories. Most of the professors are renowned specialists in their own fields like Pain and Palliative Medicine, Critical Care, Ozone Therapy, Anaesthesiology etc. The department of medicine publishes around 15 research papers annually, in numerous national and international journals.
