SDM Medical College

SDM medical college was established in the year 2003 and was affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of health & SC and is accredited by the National Medical Commission NMC. The college is located at Manjushreenagar in Dharwad, Karnataka between Hubli and the Dharwad station. The college is administered by SDM Educational Society of Ujire and offers educational programs in medicine leading to a MBBS degree. The college provides learning in physiology in its first phase of study backed by modern facilities and team of dedicated scholars.

Admission Procedures for the College

You need to have minimum 50 % marks in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and English in higher secondary examination and NEET Qualified to seek admission in the undergraduate medical courses. The candidate has to be 17 years of age at least before 31st December of the applied year. A candidate has to pass common entrance test or All India Entrance Test. A merit list will be notified for selected students for enrollment in the course.

Fee Structures of the College

The 4 and half years course in MBBS studies requires around 1,10,000 per year. The fee of the medical college is according to the order of the Honorable High Court and has to be paid through demand draft in the name of the trust. The hostel charges are additional. The general course of studies requires students to complete 9 semesters each of six months along with a year of rotational internship in the hospital.

Facilities Provided

The students will Hostel facilities for boys and girls separately and are completely furnished with computers, wardrobes, beds and other facilities. Common rooms are equipped with TV newspapers and gymnasiums. There are also mess facilities equipped with coffee and snack bars. Sports facilities are provided to students for the purpose of keeping them fit. There are pre-clinical, Para clinical and super specialty departments to enable students for first-hand learning. Banking and ATM service are available within the campus and students also get healthcare coverage.
