Ruxmaniben Deepchand Gardi Medical College

Ruxmaniben Deepchand Gardi Medical College also known as RD Gardi was established in 2001 at Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh. It was established by a trust and is recognized by the National Medical Commission. As a part of the infrastructure of the college, a 400 bedded hospital was commissioned by Ujjain Charitable Trust Hospital. After the initiation of the courses, another hospital with 570 beds was established. These hospitals are equipped with modern facilities and advanced therapeutic and diagnostic equipment. Medical facilities are provided free by these hospitals.Research facilities are also available in these hospitals. There are ICU, PICU, ICCU, outdoor services and twenty four hours emergency and trauma management services.

Nature of the Course

The college is affiliated to Vikram University situated in Ujjain. This medical college provides a five and half year’s MBBS course. The last year of the course, is dedicated to internship in the hospital, attached to the college. In total, for MBBS courses, there are 150 seats. Students can also avail postgraduate courses in medical sciences from this college. Total number of seats for MD and MS are 65. As a part of the curriculum for the post graduate courses, students can specialize in 18 streams if medical sciences.

Minimum Eligibility Required

Admission to the majority of seats in the MBBS course is through Pre Medical Test conducted by the government of Madhya Pradesh. Few seats are dedicated to NRI students, and those are under the discretion of the management of the college. You need to have minimum 50 % marks in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and English in higher secondary examination and NEET Qualified to seek admission in the undergraduate medical courses. It is compulsory to have English in the secondary level. For MS or MD, students have to complete MBBS degree from a NMC recognized college and students have to pass all India entrance examination. These scores are import5ant to seek admission to this college. On an average, the fee structure of the courses is Rs. 8,30, 000 per year.
