Navodaya Medical College

Navodaya Medical College was established in 2001, to provide quality healthcare education, research and training facilities to medical professionals. The multi-specialty Navodaya Medical College Hospital& Research Centre was established in 1996. With the establishment of the medical college coupled with the hospital, NMC became a completely independent medical college in Raichur. The vision of the inception of the medical institute and the hospital was to provide affordable and highly expertise delivery of healthcare facilities. The various medical degree and diploma courses are recognized by the National Medical Commissionor NMC and Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. The passing candidates are awarded medical degrees and diplomas from NMC and RGUHS. Admission Procedure of the Medical College

The college is renowned for its courses with various specializations in Medicine, Surgery, Physiotherapy, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, Obstetrics, and Gynecology etc. Admission to 5 and a half years’ MBBS course inclusive of one year’s internship period is based on the previous academic records. Scholarship is provided to meritorious students based on their performance in both past academics. You need to have minimum 50 % marks in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and English in higher secondary examination and NEET Qualified to seek admission in the undergraduate medical courses. The PUC examination should be recognized by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. Moreover, B.Sc graduates with any two electives in Physics, Chemistry and Biology, are eligible to apply. The minimum age of a student has to be 17 years on December 31, for the MBBS admission year.

Integrated and inter-departmental conferences and seminars are conducted regularly. Research on contemporary medicine and surgical procedures is given due significance.

The college-affiliated 450-bedded hospital is equipped with super-specialized, Hi-tech facilities in laboratories and operation theatres for catering to diverse investigations in Pathology, Microbiology, Forensic Medicine and Toxicology, Pharmacology, Orthopedics, Radio Diagnosis, Ophthalmology, Pediatrics, Anaesthesia etc. The hospital is being upgraded to facilitate 750 beds. Presence of Medical, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Pharmacy, Bio-technology colleges and the under-construction Dental College, dot the campus.
