Mahatma Gandhi Medical College And Hospital

Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and Hospital also known as MGM was established by India Education Trust in 2000. The college is recognized by the National Medical Commission. The college offers MBBS course and a host of other courses in different paramedical courses. The MBBS course is of five and half year out of which the last one year is solely dedicated to internship. A total of 100 seats allocated for this course. According to the mandate of the college the capacity for MBBS course, cannot exceed 150 seats in the first year of the course.

Overview of the Hospital

There is an 830 bedded hospital attached to the medical college.The hospital aims at providing world class medical services to the community in the catchment area of the hospital. It has a 24 hour working emergency unit and also a trauma center. A round-the-clock ambulance facility is also provided by the hospital. A registered blood bank is attached to the hospital.It also has an ICU with 44 beds. There are ten operation theatres equipped with ultramodern facilities. The hospital has different testing laboratories for differentdepartments like Microbiology, Biochemistry, Radio-diagnosis and Pathology.Post mortem facilities are also attached with the hospital. There are also medicine stores attached with the hospital.

Eligibility and Fee Structure

Students need to complete 17 years of age within 31st December of the year they are seeking admission. You need to have minimum 50 % marks in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and English in higher secondary examination and NEET Qualified to seek admission in the undergraduate medical courses. It is mandatory for students to have English in their senior secondary examination. Of the total students that are admitted, 85 percent is filled through CBSE-NEET and CET.And the 15 percent is reserved for the foreign nationals also known as NRI seats. The annual fee of the MBBS course is Rs. 15,00,000. Apart from these, students also have to pay charges for their accommodation.
