Ashwani Rural Medical College

Ashwani Rural medical college is the first private college in the Solapur district. The college has been affiliated to the Maharashtra Institute of Health Sciences, Maharashtra. The foundation of the college has been laid by the M.M. Patel Public Charitable Trust. After the approval granted by the Government of Maharashtra the trust has been able to start the medical college. The college is recognized by the National Medical Commission, New Delhi. The faculty at the college aims at training the students such that they can benefit the society with their healing touch. The students are taught to abide by medical ethics when they diagnose diseases and treat them.

Admission to the college takes place according to the NMC norms. The qualifying exam to gain entry into the medical college is Asso CET. This entrance exam is conducted by Association of Private Unaided Medical and Dental Colleges. The exam is conducted in the months of April to June. You need to have minimum 50 % marks in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and English in higher secondary examination and NEET Qualified to seek admission in the undergraduate medical courses. The aspirants need to attain 17 years before applying to college.

Common recreation and drawing rooms have been provided to the students. Water and electricity are available round the clock. The study tables are comfortable as they have been designed on contemporary styles. Laundry facilities are available to the hostel students. The hostel includes a separate room for visitors. The water supply in the hostel is powered by solar energy.
