National cum Eligibility Test or NEET is the entrance examination for medical aspirants conducted by NTA. The examination is only for candidates applying for under-graduation. The total number of seats offered by NEET every year is approx. 90,000 for MBBS and BDS stream. This examination d enough to apply for private/government medical colleges in India except AIIMS (all India institute for medical studies) and JIPMER.
According to the law passed by the supreme court of India, NEET is accepted as national medical examination to fill all quota seats in India including state quotas.

The online application for NEET examination is ended by mid of December and the examination is likely to be scheduled in the month of May.

According to the new regulations passed by MCI ( medical council of India) for the students seeking MBBS admission outside India about the relevance of NEET before taking admission in any of the foreign medical university. It has now become mandatory for the same.
