About NEET 2019


Neet 2019 National cum Eligibility Test or NEET is the entrance examination for medical aspirants conducted by NTA. The examination is only for candidates applying for under-graduation. The total number of seats offered by NEET every year is approx. 90,000 for MBBS and BDS stream. This examination d enough to apply for private/government medical colleges in India except AIIMS (all India institute for medical studies) and JIPMER.

According to the law passed by the supreme court of India, NEET is accepted as national medical examination to fill all quota seats in India including state quotas. 

The respective quotas will get the seats based on NEET score as-

  • Deemed Universities
  • State/ Management/ NRI  Quotas
  • Central Quota Seats

The online application for NEET examination is ended by mid of December and the examination is likely to be scheduled in the month of May.

NEET Eligibility Criteria 2019


Student is eligible to tale NEET entrance examination 2019 if, he/she fulfils following criteria-

  • Minimum age of a candidate is 17 years
  • Maximum age of a candidate must of 25 years to the date of examination.
  • He/she must be an Indian citizen
  • Candidate must secure at least 50% marks in 12th in Physics, Chemistry, Biology.
  • For reserved categories candidates, 40% in 12 is compulsory.
  • Relaxation of 5 years is given to the candidates belong to scheduled tribes and other backward categories.
  • Candidates belong to Andhra Pradesh, Telangana; J&K also get 15% relaxation in national quota seats.

NEET 2019- Eligibility for Open School Candidates


Medical council of India (MCI) has made certain changes regarding the NEET eligibility and MBBS course.  These changes are as under-

  • Candidate passed from open school or any private school is not entitles to appear in NEET.
  • Biotechnology, as an additional subject in 12th is also not entertained to appear in NEET.

MCI has considered these two factors in utmost consideration while appearing in national Eligibility cum Entrance Test and has appealed to Supreme Court of India to report such cases.

Importance of NEET in MBBS Abroad


According to the new regulations passed by MCI ( medical council of India) for the students seeking MBBS admission outside India about the relevance of NEET before taking admission in any of the foreign medical university. It has now become mandatory for the same.

MCI has also set some benchmarks regarding the students pursuing medical education from abroad. That are-

  • NEET attempt is compulsory to take admission in MBBS in any country.
  • If Candidate failed to secure qualifying marks in NEET, can apply for MBBS abroad in any country.
  • MCI screening test is compulsory after completion of MBBS from Abroad
  • Only those Candidates are eligible to take MCI screening test that possess valid MBBS degree approved by MCI.
  • Without clearing MCI screening test, candidate is not allowed to practice in India after completion of MBBS in Abroad.

  • Step-3 Go to new user registration
  • Step-4  fill the complete details as required
  • Step-5 use the currently generated SGR number to login your application
  • Step-6 admit card appears for downloading
  • Step- 7 review the application before submission
  • Step-8 upload the scanned signature and passport size photograph
  • Step- 9 payment mode appears for the submission of application fee.
